High Commissioner's Message :

High Commission of India has launched its own website in an effort to further facilitate closer interaction between our two countries across the entire spectrum of bilateral relations.

India and Namibia have historically enjoyed close relations based on shared ideals of freedom and dignity of the individual. These ideals motivated India 's staunch and steadfast support to the Namibian people in their struggle for independence from racist colonialism. Ever since Namibian independence, our relations have become stronger and our shared ideals find a new expression through close cooperation in diverse spheres of government and non-government activities: as two societies engaged in a process of rapid socio-economic transformation, we find that our development experiences are worth sharing and have a specific salience in the current age of globalization.

The Mission invites our Indian and Namibian friends to visit this website and to explore, through it, the potential of this remarkable relationship. Suggestions for further improvement of the content of this website are most welcome.
